So I was just thinking about how I mindlessly go to the same few websites every few minutes-hours, seeings boring stuff, and then moving on to do something else.
The Internet just feels so empty. Sure, there are some good Youtube videos for entertainment, and I have found some nice music or the occasional animation on Newgrounds, but honestly I feel like I'm just not finding anything, "real" for lack of a better word.
And whenever I look around the fediverse, I either see very technical posts of networking that I don't understand, porn, bots, or basic art made to sell you something or just isn't impressive.
I tried looking at different hashtags and honestly nothing really interests me.
So if you know of any cool accounts that post interesting things that feel real, let me know. Even if it's just text posts, as long as it, again I lack the words to truly describe it, but feel real and actually interesting, then please add them to a reply.

Something about "Cookie key and value size should not exceed 1024 bytes" or something.
Currently downgraded and put firefox to IgnorePkg list (for now). Not happy!

J'aime mes journaux parce qu'ils sont mes archives personnelles de sentiments et de penses, ils sont trs prcieux, vraiment.
I have a weird bug in Google Maps where it doesnt update my current location (not when giving directions btw) on CarPlay/iOS app unless I explicitly open the app on the phone while driving.
I tried deleting and reinstalling the app on the iPhone which helped but it didnt completely fix the bug. It still occurs sporadically but the fix is to set directions to target destination.
This led me down the rabbit hole of alternative Maps providers (Apple Maps & OSM) which ,in turn, made me realise how big Google Maps really is.
Like, a business wins by listing on GMaps (or any stranger with Google account) as they are incentivised to fill more info on Google search pages which in turn feeds Google Maps.
This can increase digital presence as well as the physical stores sales (walk-in customers from Google Maps based directions).
The alternatives which Ive looked into are far behind especially in my city and street.
Google should share their map data with competitors for the betterment of everyone but thats a fools dream because capitalism.
DiaryOne of my favorite is The Singing Creek Where the Willows Grow by Opal Whitely. This childs amazed me. We see the world of her neighbors and her animal companions through a childs lens. I also love her language. From the opening paragraph, when she explains, I found the near woods first day I did go explores, you realize Whitley interprets her world through an odd, childish . I found it refreshing.

I've always failed to keep up a daily journaling habit, but with the Cousin I finally manage to write every day, diary style. The dated one page per day really motivates me to fill it up. I look forward to journaling now, and even if very little happens during my day I find interesting things to write about. Thoughts I had, feelings to process....it's all really helpful <3
I am really rooting for browser to be ready so I can jump ship.
Mozilla has clearly lost their vision of being a non-privacy invasive, truly free and open web browser. Their re-wording of the T&C doesnt mean shit if your identity and ideology has changed.
If I had my way at Mozilla, I would:
1. Close for-profit organisation, kick out the C-suites, hand over any and all power back to the non-profit organisation.
2. CEO is getting a HUGE pay cut. (quit if you are unhappy)
3. Sell the ad company to recoup the costs (might not make a profit)
4. Make sure to restructure the organisation without layoffs (or keep them to a bare minimum).
5. Google money would have to stay (for the next few years) unfortunately until we figure out where to invest/pull out money from.
A man can dream

I find having a or very good for my mental health. It's a place for me to put down my inner thoughts and get them out of my head, without posting them to social media or having to tell another person.
A coworker told me that, when his wife's aunt died, the family was very upset by what they found in her journals. Apparently she was often angry but kept it bottled up and only funneled it into her journal. I just don't think you can get mad about what someone wrote in their diary. As long as they treated you well, that's all that matters.
If you don't like the idea of possibly reading something negative about yourself, don't read someone else's diary. There's a high chance they wanted to strangle you over something petty at some point.
It's a good thing that we don't hear each other's innermost thoughts. We are a civilization because we don't act on everything that flits through our head. Let people have their outlet without prying, even after they pass.
