Power Of Three

Made up these three layouts last night. I'll be heading on a trip soon, wanted to at least get those weeks drawn up before I leave. :)

I take a pic of this same tree every year in mid-October, usually on a weekend. Photographing something even only twice leaves an emotional residue on both the object and on memory. Both have been transformed.

Well, here we go! Its less than a week to the start of November, and will begin soon! Its the same story as always - 200 words every day in November in a language that is not your mother tongue. It can be anything! A post, , or an all of your own! If 200 words a day seems like a lot, then adjust it - if youre using a language that makes counting words more difficult, you could do 400 characters a day instead. Its entirely up to you!

Went to peace rally in Federal Plaza at noon. Could be historical.

Tell me about your Journalling experience. Physical or Digital is it a diary or something entirely different How often do you write Are there particular items you make sure every entry has

I kinda like the idea of a journalling (I even wrote a first entry last night), but the logical mind is still trying to understand it

I finally found a real-world use for : public . I will note daily every noteworthy thing to keep track of them and estimate how often they happen.
I found in without this week. I miss being able to ethically eat all the cookies I want, but it's better for my .

Newpapers used to be memorabilia.

I've started a new blog on and a series about my utterly useless journey in writing a UI ( to be accurate) SDK for my module: the pygamelib. If you're interested in the programming diary of my failures, frustrations, and hopefully success, you can read the first installment here:

Out of Tune, 8"x10" inkjet overprinting on rice paper (10/2013)

I'm just banging these out, haha! Trying to get ahead of things because I'll be doing a lot of travel in the next couple of months. This is my monthly summary layout for November.

Worked on next week's layouts a little early. More fun with color schemes!

The Operation was most orgiastic, but I formulated the God well and called aloud after his name. The Gluten of the Eagle was not very plentiful, and the Lion was not very thoroughly dissolved therein. Still, I think the Elixir was formed well enough.

Chiudiamo il capitolo riccio.

This is what my husband brought us home yesterday. Luckily its only the windscreen. There was glass in the car too but nothing thats bad enough to injure him!

From all he can gather it was a bird (possibly a pheasant) that hit the car at full impact on the middle of the busy M3. This could have gone terribly wrong, he was quite lucky.

Our son was most enamoured by the recovery vehicle delivering our car and his dad. He was allowed to move the ramp back (using the little levers on the real thing) and was mightily impressed. Here is his rendition of it:

Love my son! Today I attached a ceiling lamp in my husbands bedroom/office, a simple affair of three spotlights. What does my son say Oh nice, three lights. Now dad can illuminate three different spiderwebs!

Things that lamps are useful for.
One thing is for sure, this abomination wont move with us into the new apartment.

The dangers of Denglish. In October 2018 my son had asked me where his compass was and I said I didnt know but would look for it, thinking I had seen the thing somewhere, after all he needed it for Scouts fairly regularly. He asked again the night before he needed it in school. We never found it. On the way to school he finally said what he meant in German It was the compass to draw circles, not the one for navigation. In German the one to draw circles is called, wait for it: Zirkel. It never entered my mind that he meant that one. But at least I did know where it was

This one just crossed my way on Facebook Memories. I decided it was a good one for my long neglected blog.

Cant wait to read this of a cousin. So cool.

Sometimes it's just time to spray things black.

For how much I hate moving, every 2-3 years since I was 10 years old is a lot, right

I hate moving still.

A diagram re what was essentially an algorithm. I wasn't thinking about AI back then, but it's essentially an idea for shuffling sounds in real-time, a few years before "shuffle play" entered the lexicon.

Pattern Theory #1

Running internal diagnostics on music subsystems. Uncertain results. An angular abstract for today's offering.

This week's layout. Got a couple new stamp colours in, so I thought I'd play around. Enjoying this orange/warm pink colour scheme. :) Definitely more suited to the season!

Cloudy

Socked in with fatigue today. Awakened from a nap and played slow dream music. Today's entry for my neglected .

Earlier that day, our diarist watches the hanging of an officer, he sees the man's bodyparts being torn out and displayed to the public. The new king asserts his power. Having witnessed this state violence, Samuel comes home and breaks the basked that he had bought for his wife when working for the king's return.

As always with Pepys, his entries are an incredible mix of brutal clear-sightedness and an utter lack of self-awareness. Gripping.

Cold/blustery/gray, 50 degrees. Up at the crack of 4AM, fitful sleep, vague dream about being in a hotel playing a guitar (chord was Cmaj7#11) Worked on Oct7 piece.

10/13/2000:

Gorgeous, 82 degrees.

The turntable is now the established "musical instrument". Instead of taking your child for piano lessons, you take them for scratch lessons instead. (On the other hand, you can make more compelling art faster than you would on the piano.)

Idea: Pre-categorized web pages that automatically get filed on your computer. (Like the Dewey system)

If I made a Journaling for Beginners kind of post (or PDF, since I dont think it would fit in 500 characters ) would you be interested What are some topics youd be interested in, or some questions you have (no question is stupid!)

Some ideas I had:
- Picking a journal to buy
- What to do if theres someone youre worried will read it
- Writing instrument(s)
- Some general prompts to use whenever youre stuck
