The temporary files

Over time, I've been collecting images in a temporary folder.
Not quite photographs, not quite intentions.
More like sketches, drafts, ideas - starting points.
Files meant to disappear, to die.

And yet...
This temporary album has eventually become the largest of all my projects.

During the next weeks, i will publish all 4 volumes of these temporary files.

2000 Yankees Diary: Bombers nearly complete crazy comeback in Chicago

Fediverse, maybe you can help me find an old / . It is ancient and quaint, but was still going a couple of years ago. Every blog could have their own design. No ads as I recall.

I just can't remember the name! It was sort of the first Canadian social network. Whatchamacallit

Chapter 1, part 1
Now you know where the tales come from.
At the darkest times when the truth can't be told, seen or heard - only the tales can survive, only the metaphors can come to the light.
That's the time that engenders monsters. And the survivors as well.
It is a story of solitude with no hope to get free.
The story of falling into an abyss so deep that not a single drop of light can penetrate. Not even a rain can reach.
Demon of the most disguised desires, He adsorbs your darkest, the most hidden thoughts. Darkest gloomiest corners of your soul. Your sorrows, your passion, your longing, your lust, your yearning for something you can't even explain yourself.
Then he seduces you with the essence of passion and agony. He manipulates your mind until you lose the feeling of reality, crawls straight under your skin, carves deep into your dreams. He becomes part of your thoughts, captures your whole existence and replaces your presence with himself.
You dissolve, the Demon rises. Out of your hidden thoughts.
The Demon is put into a deep oblivion. He can't be killed. His comatose supplies the power of the thrones. But not to become awakened he has to be watched. And he needs to consume. A new Watcher is sent as soon as the previous one fades. Watchers do not last long. Some get burned after a month, some on the next day - the Demon consumes their minds completely. The endless chain of Watchers keeps falling into the demonic fire until no one human is left
The demon can get free if there comes a Watcher who can tolerate his voice of seduction. So people will stop disappearing in that endless abyss.
But both ways lead to the end of the World.
He's seduction is the most powerful and dangerous thing you can ever face.

This is a real story wrapped in metaphors and hidden senses. It is not a story of love. Not of a friendship. Not of a worship.
The beginning is blurred and It has not yet ended.

It is a story of two minds' colliding. a Demon and a Witch.
Not as a confrontation between the good and the evil.
Rather two different types of evils. Both fated to mutual destruction.
And no matter how it ends - the outcome will be the same - the world will collapse.
The whole of humanity is doomed. The only choice here is which way to get destroyed.
And how fast.

Finally got around to my re-read of 's Doors of Sleep (and read the sequel for the first time).

Perhaps a forest-for-the-trees situation, but I had forgotten how large a role journaling plays in the narratives (the books are epistolary, narrated through journal entries of the characters).

The process of writing and reflection is affirmed throughout the story. Though theres also a point where the protagonist stops journaling after a crisis, which I empathized with.

I like writing with a stylus, I said. Back on my world, I used ink on paper when I wrote. For some reason, it helps me think better than typing on a keyboard does. I feel closer to the language somehow.

2000 Yankees Diary: El Duque obliterated by White Sox in blowout loss

Diary type timestamps are very useful to describe holydays in . Org Mode supports diary, monthly, or anual periodicity with <2025-06-18 +1d>, <2025-06-18 +1m>, <2025-06-18 +1y> respectively.
But there is no syntax for more complex periodicity such as "the 3rd saturday of september". For that cases use the diary syntax. For example:

* Software Freedom Day
<%%(diary-float 9 6 3)>

previous two days were an exception in my weeks-long solitude : I had guests! We played games, plucked strawberries & cherries, cooked &ate together, played with puppies, and had long walks : mostly all of those activities with the dog too! One night it was even raining & storming, the atmosphere inside was of a mountain hut/ (planinarski dom) : tea, dog, wet clothes, many people in small rooms :) // now they went on -ing & Im alone with birds, trees, insects
