Cant wait to read this of a cousin. So cool.
Sometimes it's just time to spray things black.
For how much I hate moving, every 2-3 years since I was 10 years old is a lot, right
I hate moving still.

A diagram re what was essentially an algorithm. I wasn't thinking about AI back then, but it's essentially an idea for shuffling sounds in real-time, a few years before "shuffle play" entered the lexicon.

Running internal diagnostics on music subsystems. Uncertain results. An angular abstract for today's offering.
This week's layout. Got a couple new stamp colours in, so I thought I'd play around. Enjoying this orange/warm pink colour scheme. :) Definitely more suited to the season!

Socked in with fatigue today. Awakened from a nap and played slow dream music. Today's entry for my neglected .
Earlier that day, our diarist watches the hanging of an officer, he sees the man's bodyparts being torn out and displayed to the public. The new king asserts his power. Having witnessed this state violence, Samuel comes home and breaks the basked that he had bought for his wife when working for the king's return.
As always with Pepys, his entries are an incredible mix of brutal clear-sightedness and an utter lack of self-awareness. Gripping.
Cold/blustery/gray, 50 degrees. Up at the crack of 4AM, fitful sleep, vague dream about being in a hotel playing a guitar (chord was Cmaj7#11) Worked on Oct7 piece.

The turntable is now the established "musical instrument". Instead of taking your child for piano lessons, you take them for scratch lessons instead. (On the other hand, you can make more compelling art faster than you would on the piano.)
Idea: Pre-categorized web pages that automatically get filed on your computer. (Like the Dewey system)
If I made a Journaling for Beginners kind of post (or PDF, since I dont think it would fit in 500 characters ) would you be interested What are some topics youd be interested in, or some questions you have (no question is stupid!)
Some ideas I had:
- Picking a journal to buy
- What to do if theres someone youre worried will read it
- Writing instrument(s)
- Some general prompts to use whenever youre stuck

How to Actually Stick to a Journaling Routine
A consistent journaling routine can be transformative. Research suggests its a reliable way to increase your health and happiness: It can relieve stress and anxiety, improve depression symptoms, enhance memory retention, and boost optimism.
Hello and welcome to my brand new little blog, I am Pops the Passive Voyeur and I am an Aquarist and tropical fish keeper, a grower of indoor bonsai, an amateur photographer and a very occasional and not very good artist amongst other things.
Yes I have a number of varying hobbies, pastimes, whatever you want to call them, I guess my longest standing one is photography, I have been taking photos for a pretty long time but I am still very much an amateur and do it purely for my own enjoyment, nowadays I use mainly digital but now and again I will tinker with analogue / film photography. I also took up art a little while back, Im not particularly prolific and definitely not very good, but hey, when I do it I enjoy it , I work in both traditional media as well as digital. I am also an aquarist and tropical fish keeper, I did this a long time ago when I was quite young and have fairly recently started it up again, and boy have things changed, Im a beginner all over again. At the moment I only have one tank personally, it is a community blackwater nature aquarium. Although I only have the one tank myself (for now) my eldest son Jonathan has a number of tanks in my house. I have also very recently taken up cultivating indoor bonsai trees, this is very much still in its infancy and who knows it may spread to outdoor bonsai eventually.
So this blog could have posts consisting of any of the above, either singly or in multiples, or it could be almost anything else, who knows this may turn into something like a journal or diary, or may just end up with me ranting on about things. Im certainly not altogether sure which direction it is going to go in. Anyway, please enjoy and let me know what you think

Protests continue at LaSalle and Jackson....There's a very loud drum circle grooving away, with car horns providing melody...exciting to be a part of the bazaar of democracy and "The American Spring".

It's interesting that people just learning music now have YouTube as a resource. Back in the 70s, all I had were music magazines and I'd go through the musical exercises. Having a video was rare and videotapes were very expensive, sometimes as much as $50. I think it's so great that young people now have free videos to learn from and most make them as well. I wish I could have showcased my abilities then. Also, having a video diary documents parts of your musical life, and it's nice to have participated in it.
It's funny to think people had to wait minutes for a tiny 360x240 video to download. It took a good 10-15 years for that to develop. So 10 or 15 years from now there are going to be developments that will allow people to do amazing things in context with the memory of what is essentially that 360x240 video.
I started a here, I'm currently putting all the together and trying to draw them straight away...

Beatles White Album sessions:
"It took 67 run-throughs of the basic rhythm track, acoustic guitar and vocal (George), organ (Paul), and drums, (Ringo)before the best version of "Long Long Long "was found and onto which the overdubs would be made. There's a sound near the end of the song in which a bottle of Blue Nun wine was rattling away on the top of a Leslie speaker cabinet. It just happened. Paul hit a certain note and the bottle started vibrating. We thought it was so good that we set up mics and did it again. The Beatles always took advantage of accidents."
10/5/2011: Steve Jobs dead at 56. He championed the idea of animated industrial design. A PC never glowed like a Mac under Jobs. He had an interesting background that did not include a college education.
So found a few interesting sites, services around this subject.
Not looked at them in much detail yet. A bookmark of sorts, would welcome other suggestions:
A bit of a public ponder/appeal for help/suggestions.
My family has a couple of journals and diaries passed on from grandparents and great grandparents. Handwritten/typed, from 1920s to 1980s. Whilst personal, they also have a bit of historical interest.
Wondered if anybody had thoughts or suggestions for what to do with them

The music of the future will be performance-based, involving musicians that play traditional instruments, as well as turntablists, samplists (the "musicists"). Fans will make recordings of live performances and put them up on the web. Artists would play into this by experimenting with the performances to make them unique.
I live in the biggest county/state of Germany, in a region where driving from one city to the other for work is totally normal. Still, today I had to get up at 4 to leave in time to walk an hour to catch a train that takes an hour longer than my usual connection. Construction works and a national holiday combine badly. Holy shit, I'm done ... It summarizes what living in Germany feels like. in Budapest, I fell in love with the Metro.
Machines become abstractions when their purpose is not well defined. Machines may be designed as tools, but they are animate objects in the sense that they are in the loop between ideas (thinking) and the final product. (10/2/2015)
