(Blog Updated) Week 49: heavens here
Journal Week 13, March 2026
The week started after some decent sleep, and the first day ended with: puppies! Tuesday, I felt rather blh, and I struggled to get through the day OK enough. Wednesday was another longer day, as Skoosh needed her maintenance and MOT, and then I had to take dad home, before I could get home myself. Thursday was an usual one, where I took my mum to Germany for some grocery shopping. Friday, I went to Lidl and had my physio. The weekend was rather relaxed, and I even managed some chores. But I still felt like I should have done more, especially when I see my Samsung activity summary, or in-activity, more likely... I had a very short night on Sunday evening, but I woke up to more than 60 pictures of the puppies, so that made it a wee bit better... An infographic from "weer&radar" showing a 14-day weather forecast for Herpen, dated March 23, 2026.The top section features a line graph tracking temperatures. Max temperatures (red dots) start at 15C, dip sharply to 5C on Thursday, then stabilize between 11C and 14C. Min temperatures (blue dots) fluctuate between 2C and 6C.Below the graph, a row of icons indicates daily conditions:Monday/Tuesday: Sunny (yellow blocks).Wednesday: Lightning bolt (storm).Thursday/Friday: Raindrops.Following days: Mostly dry with a single rain icon on the second Thursday.A color scale at the bottom labeled "veel" (much) to "weinig" (little) sun corresponds to the yellow intensity in the daily blocks. The footer includes the "weer&radar" logo and app store icons.Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.Yesterday somehow I got to know the situation of my ass hole and virgina. I don't know my ass hole had that much lil' lump. And don't put tampons in virgina longer than a day. Don't be lazy even the last day.
The rehearsals & concert over the past couple of days were coloured for me by finding it almost impossible to centre my tuning (in a bass section of between five and nine players on up to five instruments).
I spent all the time blaming myself for being unable to play reliably in tune, and not considering, until after, that someone else might have been the problem.
This morning I am trying to convince myself that it wasnt me, a pointless and possibly futile task.
Do you know what happens when you write C+++ Qt code with web dev experience Your mental model for memory management (which is non-existent because JS has GC), leads to memory leaks.
It's so bad I had to:
1. rewrite most of the init code for member variables in almost all widgets so the expectation of "WidgetA" from "child C" of MainWindow is available when "WidgetB" emits a signal.
2. currently debugging memory leak when MainWindow is closed - huh
Yup, I have a WindowActivate event that triggers a "status" update and ALL important widgets listen to the signal emitted by THIS fn to update the state.
3. A connect() is causing seg fault right now when I update the widget's state multiple times in a row. (still haven't checked this out yet)
4. clang-tidy is labelling cosmetic things like "Class *obj = new Class()" into "auto *obj = new Class()" and my OCD is annoyed.

I am not a fan of the Credits system in RE9 seen in Racoon City for Leon. That one change makes RE9 into an arcade style game and not the survival horror that I remember RE series to be. I liked the gameplay till the Care Center but now I am not into it.

Buongiorno. Construction is going on everywhere in the Citt - even at San Zaccaria. I almost missed my vaporetto to Rialto yesterday. The piers are reversed, which I find very confusing. Saluti, Mafalda Cinquetti from
Journal Week 12, March 2026
Some very busy days... But... PUPPIES! And some of the usual appointments, chores, and things like that... Meeting the pups for the first time on Monday was so lovely! Doggy sitting all the galls and pups was wonderful, but I was super exhausted. So, Thursday came, and I tried to get all the German groceries for mum and me, but the rest of the day, I wasn't worth too much... On Friday, I was feeling a bit better again. Saturday was a good day, with a lovely walk. Sunday was more relaxed, a good way to end the week. Looks like we may be getting some nicer weather again this week... Hopefully, as sping comes, we'll start having better weather again. Could be good for some garden work, maybe...
