DiaryJournal Week 45, November 2025
A mixed week... On Monday, Soosh got her new tyres and then we headed back home from Almere. Tuesday, it was 4 months since Arwen's passing... On Wednesday, a friend came to visit in the morning. Thursday was the usual Germany groceries day. Friday brought a visit to the dentist, which didn't go as smoothly as hoped for. On Saturday and Sunday, I tried to get my chores in and I also tried to focus on my exercises some more. I enjoyed working on my puzzle as well, eager to try and get it ready... Already thinking about other puzzles that I would like to make (and possibly frame). It looks like we could be getting some decent weather, which would be nice for a change... Fingers crossed and all that, as decent weather can also mean a little less discomfort in my body... Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.I'm using my for day to day but only rarely for
I have a dedicated for train of thought and mental health writing, but atm I'm not using it as much as I used to.
I seem to lack the intrinsic need I used to feel. Change is part of life, so that's perfectly fine.
But.
I'd like to get inspired: Is there a journaling habit you've developed Some years ago I followed along journaling prompts, are you currently
Just took a dive into , having got several Mastodon test accounts already set up. Still grappling with the basics, but happier now it's clearly interoperable with Masto.
My quest remains: to identify the non-Google and unenshittified tools that my theatre group needs to manage its , crunch , share and , and organise itself without feeding the beast a moment longer.
Quote of the day, 9 November: St. Teresa of the Andes
I am reading Elizabeth of the Holy Trinity. I love her. Her soul is similar to mine. Although she was a saint, I will imitate her and be a saint. I want to live with Jesus in the depths of my soul. I want to defend him from his enemies.
I want to live a life of Heaven, as Elizabeth says, being a praise of glory:

Just upgraded to latest release. It was "almost" easy.
I simply backed up my existing configuration using web UI, downloaded the sysupgrade image and flashed it (using web UI)
Lastly, when it restarts, restore the configuration.
full moon madnessLooking at videos of famous people educates me about people and humanity.
In these difficult times let's see if that leads to anything good.
The other day I looked at Paul Shaffer, who was with David Letterman.
As an autistic I may have 'abilities' that I have overlooked.
Journal Week 44, October/November 2025
On Monday, two men came and they finished up the last work on the heat pump. Hopefully, this will mean an end to the long lasting saga, and that I will be able to keep a warm home without paying way too much for it... Fingers crossed and all that. Tuesday was PT day. But some "inconvenience" on the road turned out to be an annoyingly long detour... I managed to shower Skoosh, get a good physio session, and get some groceries at Lidl on the way back. Wednesday, I tried to take it easy. I did tackle a chore that I had been meaning to do for a while. And, I went out to vote. On Thursday, mum and I went to Germany again. Friday, I tried to take it easy, but my brain wasn't all into that... Saturday, I drove to friends and I stayed there till Monday. Saturday on Sunday, I got the worst nightmare, that prompted me to write a very sad blog post about it. I caught up on sleep the next night, but I am not sure it really did me a lot of good... Colder days, colder nights, and a lot of wetness is showing in this forecast for the next two weeks... The days for this week show rain, and a lot of rain, for 6 out of the 7 days... How can people in the U.S. now document the political and societal changes What about Syria Sudan Ukraine Gaza Millions worldwide are experiencing intense change. Write, take photos, share if possible. Share someone elses story if they cant.
This call to action motivated Annes writing even more. She had been in hiding since July 1942 at the time of this call to action. Writing is an act of resistance. Documentation is resistance.
On 28 March 1944, there was a radio announcement that Anne Frank heard: If posterity is to fully appreciate what we as a people have endured and overcome in these years, then we need just the simple items: a diary, letters from a worker in Germany.

i dont know what it is about "no, im not a human" that captivates me so much. it's a game where you don't leave the house because of an apocalyptic event where strange beings try to invade your home. daily fear and panic from the television. hints about who might or might not be an enemy based on physical traits that in any other time would be benign. the paranoia that someone might try to kill you at night. the impact of global warming causing people to burn at daytime. the anxiety of testing someone - they're showing signs, but could they just be innocent
i don't know.
i've played through the game three times now, and it won't leave my head. i'm about to do a fourth playthrough. the game really touches me emotionally, and i cannot quite tell why.
