It's interesting that people just learning music now have YouTube as a resource. Back in the 70s, all I had were music magazines and I'd go through the musical exercises. Having a video was rare and videotapes were very expensive, sometimes as much as $50. I think it's so great that young people now have free videos to learn from and most make them as well. I wish I could have showcased my abilities then. Also, having a video diary documents parts of your musical life, and it's nice to have participated in it.
It's funny to think people had to wait minutes for a tiny 360x240 video to download. It took a good 10-15 years for that to develop. So 10 or 15 years from now there are going to be developments that will allow people to do amazing things in context with the memory of what is essentially that 360x240 video.
I started a here, I'm currently putting all the together and trying to draw them straight away...

Beatles White Album sessions:
"It took 67 run-throughs of the basic rhythm track, acoustic guitar and vocal (George), organ (Paul), and drums, (Ringo)before the best version of "Long Long Long "was found and onto which the overdubs would be made. There's a sound near the end of the song in which a bottle of Blue Nun wine was rattling away on the top of a Leslie speaker cabinet. It just happened. Paul hit a certain note and the bottle started vibrating. We thought it was so good that we set up mics and did it again. The Beatles always took advantage of accidents."
10/5/2011: Steve Jobs dead at 56. He championed the idea of animated industrial design. A PC never glowed like a Mac under Jobs. He had an interesting background that did not include a college education.
So found a few interesting sites, services around this subject.
Not looked at them in much detail yet. A bookmark of sorts, would welcome other suggestions:
A bit of a public ponder/appeal for help/suggestions.
My family has a couple of journals and diaries passed on from grandparents and great grandparents. Handwritten/typed, from 1920s to 1980s. Whilst personal, they also have a bit of historical interest.
Wondered if anybody had thoughts or suggestions for what to do with them

The music of the future will be performance-based, involving musicians that play traditional instruments, as well as turntablists, samplists (the "musicists"). Fans will make recordings of live performances and put them up on the web. Artists would play into this by experimenting with the performances to make them unique.
I live in the biggest county/state of Germany, in a region where driving from one city to the other for work is totally normal. Still, today I had to get up at 4 to leave in time to walk an hour to catch a train that takes an hour longer than my usual connection. Construction works and a national holiday combine badly. Holy shit, I'm done ... It summarizes what living in Germany feels like. in Budapest, I fell in love with the Metro.
Machines become abstractions when their purpose is not well defined. Machines may be designed as tools, but they are animate objects in the sense that they are in the loop between ideas (thinking) and the final product. (10/2/2015)
L'amore salvera il mondo. O quello o il cinismo.
Mi sono alzata imbottita di DA3 ed estro creativo.
This afternoon I sat down (on a bench! Under blue sky!) and wrote in my for a bit. And I filled almost half a page with thoughts on which of my new and empty I'm going to use for what. One as my next diary , one as my next , one for additional courses I'm planning to take,...
It was lovely. I highly recommend some random as .

251. sivu tuli tyteen nykyisess pivkirjassa. Se onkin pivkirjan viimeinen sivu ja huomenna psee aloittamaan uuden sivulta 1.
Vaikka olen koettanut kirjoitella ajatuksiani, tunteitani sek pivn tapahtumia vuosikaudet, vasta paperinen pivkirja teki siit toimivan pivittisen rutiinin. Kirjoitin ensimmisen kirjoituksen 29.12.2022.
Also finished the layout for the first week of October. Just simple black and white for this one I wanted to use my new matte black thin washi tape, and the date numbers are washi tape stickers, too. :) Takes a lot of the effort out of it! :chickhotcocoa:
Went to see the at the electric ballroom.
The amount of noise that four guitars and a sax can make is immense, and when they're all coherent with some suited dude wearing sunglasses talking over it, it can sound pretty amazing.
They have a dancer who has been with the band since the start. It seems cruel to keep this man in his 60s at least, maybe 70s, sweating and jumping up and down, but maybe it'd be more cruel to stop him.
My usual problem with rappers is that I can't hear what they're saying, and that applied here too. Dunno what any of the songs were about really. I got the impression that all the audience in their 50/60s also can't really hear well now though too. They just already know the words.

Yes, I said they're very good.
Spent some time doing up my October summary spread tonight. I know, it's not very Spooky Season. ) But I had fun using that street sign stamp set again! :chickclover:

Usually I don't expect much out of Workplace Safety Day other than some pamphlets and a single toothbrush, but I was sincerely surprised today.
Not pictured: an actually good muscle roller, a full dental kit with mirror, floss, and metal tongue scraper, wax food wrap sheets, and native seed balls. Rimby is very pleased by all the new bags.
Lost On The Way Home
I've gone a bit astray of late. I was headed home, but now I'm not sure. The day's offering, a subdued one.
Have you ever read someone else's diary With or without their permission
I've been mulling over doing a single panel diary comic snapshot for a little bit , so here's a gloomy first entry. Who knows how long I'll keep this up (for all I know it's just today lol).
The crescent moon from a drive home one night last week. Autumn equinox in the rear-view mirror now, time for a change. Scrabbling about with fragments, trying to make them fit into shapes I can't see...but, I can't stop now. Storms forecast.

Three years of writing a daily diary today. I think the person most surprised that I've kept it up is me!
