So I finished Mafia Definitive Edition and I absolutely loved the game. I never played the original heard the ending dialogues were changed in DE which was bad. I might have to check YT for a comparison later.

The game had a story to tell and it laid it out beautifully. I liked the characters and the premise. Also read that in the early builds, the car race mission was too damn tough to beat.

Its a 8.5/10 for me.

I really dont understand why Neal wants to run away with Nazi treasure. He has everything that was ever good in his life - a great partnership with Peter, Mozzie as a friend, Sara Ellis as gf, June and many more. Also, do you remember the episode where Neal asks Byrons bff to NOT pull the con and that he would back his story so the guy can be free and take June to a dance

I think this arc wouldve been great for S1 where he collects everything valuable (for him and Kate) and then he somehow ends up at the airport with Kate inside the plane but the cliffhanger would be Kate dying in his runaway plane and S2 begins just the same as S3E1 where Peter grills Neal with the treasure BUT Moz and Neal pull a con so Neal can go back to his old routine with Peter (else hes going back to prison).

I am soooo stupid. So a few hours ago I had to upgrade RPi from Raspbian 10 to RPi OS 12 because Pi hole was hesitant to provide updates to my device.

I also cloned the Raspbian 10 install to disk via dd for backup purpose.

I told my folks there will be 1 hour downtime for the WiFi. Things went smoothly at the beginning like flashing RPi OS lite into SD card and running system updates.

As soon as I tried setting up Pi hole, problems started.

Problem 1: The device refused to connect to the network if Routers DHCP server was turned off. Note that this was how it worked previous - Pihole was both DNS and DHCP server and routers internal DHCP server was disabled.

I tried setting ip= parameter but that too didnt work.

Solution: Compromise and use routers DHCP for now.

Problem 2: I was having DNS resolution issues. The router was forwarding stuff to Pi hole but I could not get DNS to work. This ate away at my 1 hour deadline so much so it took around 5 hours (give or take) to get back online.

Cause: I used Pi hole servers IP address as Gateway instead of DNS server. FFFFFFUUUCKKK!!!! I am so pissed at myself for not seeing it.

As soon as I fixed this, the whole thing worked. The only reason I figured it out was I swallowed my pride and looked at a tutorial on how to setup Pihole onto RPi. If I didnt do this, I wouldve definitely be stuck forever

Exploring My 2024 Embroidery Journal Month by Month via The Stir-Crazy Crafter Shared

Everyday, I embroider an icon that represents my day. Whether that be a stack of pancakes because of what I had for breakfast, bunny ears because I planned an Easter Egg hunt at work, or even a frowny face because I had a rough day. At the end of the year, I accumulate 365 (or 366) icons on my 12 inch embroidery hoop. While 2024 started out quite slow, it steadily picked up as the pieces fell into place for my future.

This year was my fifth year creating an embroidery journal. At this point, Ive embroidered over 1,800 icons across my journals. Im so proud of the fact that Ive managed to stick with something for such a long period of time. Its been wonderful watching as my embroidery skills have increased and my life has progressed.

Last month there was a friendly report in IRC that my CalDAV sync to Nextcloud has a bug. Osik, if you are reading this, thank you for the report (could not find you on IRC anymore). Im watching so I can watch the movie (love you ) and let me tell you something - or should I say excels at storytelling, whether its a light-hearted feel-good show or dark and gruesome one, I feel like they are masters of storytelling.
